Meet the Agent: Brandi Witt

During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents and brokers to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry.

In this installment, we chat with Brandi Witt, a Nest Realtor in New River Valley .

Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area? How long have you lived here? Brandi Witt: I was born and raised in New River Valley.

NR: How did you get into real estate? How long have you been practicing? BW: Both of my parents were real estate agents. I fell in love with the industry at a young age. I have been a full-time agent for almost 3 years!

NR: If you are new to real estate? what was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate? BW: Before real estate, I was a barber in downtown Blacksburg for many years. It allowed me to go to college where I graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies. I worked in several different areas of law, and real estate was my favorite.

NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage? BW: The agents. I have worked with many of them on other sides of transactions. They really are top-notch and great problem solvers. I was also very impressed with all of the resources Nest Realty provides.

NR: What’s your favorite part of being an agent? BW: The very best part of what I do is helping people achieve their goals. There is nothing more rewarding than the smiles I see at the closing table. It’s an emotional process not only for my clients but for me as well.

NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients? BW: I love working with first time homebuyers. I am very knowledgeable on different loan types and have the skills and resources to put the first time homebuyer nerves at ease.

NR: What are five adjectives to describe you? BW: Empathetic, Outgoing, Honest, Responsive, Helpful

NR: Who would be your dream client? BW: Joanna Gaines, because I love her creativity. It would be so fun to work beside her and see how her visions turn into reality.

NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be? BW: Don’t give up and don’t get discouraged.

NR: What’s your favorite season? Why? BW: Fall, I love nothing more than snuggling up with my fuzzy blanket, pumpkin coffee, and a good book on my deck.
