Shadowlake Village is a cohousing community, that is, a pedestrian-oriented neighborhood of privately-owned homes designed and managed by its residents on 33 acres, built to promote friendly and supportive interactions among those who live here. Community is promoted by the layout of the buildings, by access to the facilities and events available at the Common House and in the common spaces, and by participation, on a voluntary basis, in a variety of other activities. Shadowlake Village creates opportunities for residents to build meaningful relationships with neighbors while also respecting privacy within individual homes.
